My name is Kaylie Luedke, and I'm currently a senior studying at UCSB. I am pursuing a Communication major and Professional Writing minor, and will be graduating this Spring. Originally I'm from Thousand Oaks, California, but I have been proud to call Santa Barbara my home for the past four years. I had the pleasure of studying abroad this past fall in the Netherlands, where I was able to travel to eight different countries throughout Europe. I'm passionate about traveling, backpacking, volunteering with children, writing, recording music, and advocating for animal rights (to name a few)!
No matter where I travel, there are few places I love more than the beach. I'm hoping to pursue a career that allows me to see the world, but I know that eventually I'll wind up right back here in sunny Southern California.Contact
During my time at UCSB I've managed to acrue a variety of work experience, including retail, customer service, nannying, marketing, writing, and editing. Following my employment at Hollister Co. during highschool, I was hired by Nordstrom and served the company for over two years. In addition, I've had the pleasure of nannying young children for some wonderful families in Santa Barbara.
My internships have been through Graphiq Inc., Course Hero, and LoaCom, where I have learned detrimental professional skills. These have included copyright training, team leadership, interviewing and mentoring other individuals, editorial writing and editing, and marketing in the nonprofit sector. I am familiar and comfortable with using a variety of applications, including Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, WordPress, Mail Chimp, and other editing software.Resume
