In the past two years that I’ve worked at the Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast, I have been involved in the planning, filming, editing, and posting of our video content.

These videos have been used in our retail stores, promotional materials, fundraising campaigns, and virtual programming. You can browse all of our video content on the Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast YouTube channel.

At-Home Programming

The shutdowns due to Covid-19 were a predicament to our council, presenting us with the challenge of developing creative ways to deliver programming to our girls while unable to meet in person. In partnership with our Programs department and individual Girl Scouts, I helped create a video series so that girls could continue to complete badge work from the comfort of their homes.

This is an ever-evolving playlist that we are continuing to add content to.

Virtual Summer Camp

The cancellation of summer camps in 2020 created an opportunity to collaborate with Girl Scouts at home. We recruited Media Girl Scouts to film content at home, bringing fun summer camp activities to all of their peers.

Cookie Booth Buyouts

As a way to partner with local businesses and help girls reach their fundraising goals, Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast organizes annual booth buy-outs during the cookie program. Business owners and Girl Scout supporters surprise the troops during their scheduled booth time, and I create these promotional videos each year that both our council and the donors promote.

Promotional Videos

During the Fall Product Program and Girl Scout Cookie Programs, I create a variety of video content for our retail locations and social media. These include promotional content and features of the top-selling girls within the council. I’ve also filmed videos at our Girl Scout Camp and for program promotions.
